Resources for Teachers and Parents working with Children with ADD
Introduction: The challenge of working with a student
with ADD can be frustrating and overwhelming. I believe that information is
power. The purpose of this pathfinder is to provide teachers and parents with a
list of valuable rescores on the internet. I hope this pathfinder will provide
resources that will provide answers to help children with ADD reach their full
potential.

Search Strategy:
In the past the only search engines than I had used were Google and
ERIC. In my search I used two search engines that were new for me, Dogpile and Vivismo.I found both Dogpile and Vivismo to be very
easy to use. These engines worked well because my search was very specific.

Education”. The site provides information on how to work as a
family to help your child improve their self-esteem. Many helpful study skills
are provided.

This is a wonderful resource for both teachers and parents.
I t gives clear and concise information about ADD. The site provides up to date
articles and conferences for teachers and parents.

OWL-online writing lab. This site
gives very helpful information on Grammer,
Punctuation, and Spelling. Most students with ADD struggle with writing. This
is a useful for parents and students to use at home.

This site gives useful information on ho to read and
understand a Textbook. This is a good resource for teachers working with all
students. A very easy to understand explanation of Systematic
Reading-SQ5R. Many skills are explained to help the student pull out the
important information in a Textbook.

Many children with ADD struggle with math. This site was developed
to help students improve math interactively. The two that were most helpful
were Game Room and Homework Helper.

A very complete explanation is given for why is difficult for a student with
ADD. The site provides very specific study skills and video tutoring.

parents and teachers about ADD. This book provides hands-on training to assist
