Module 7

Lesson: Reading Comprehension, Vocabulary, and Literature Circles

Overview: As a Reading Specialist working with small groups, I chose two areas in which my students have shown difficulties. I chose to use Literature Circles as my vehicle, because my students and I find this very enjoyable. The topics are very usable for a large variety of reading materials and/or lessons. Depending on the students and teacher, the tools I have researched, provide information and resources that would be effective with both Produce & Print and Produce & Post.

Educational Goals:

  • I will be able to find and access internet tools.
  • I will use data to construct meaningful vocabulary and comprehension activities that my students will find both engaging and educational.
  • I will creatively use internet tools in producing a finished product.

Performance Objectives:

Materials Needed:

  • Copy of  Bunnicula by Deborah and James Howe
  • Classroom Computer
  • Internet access
  • Printer
  • Paper
